Financial Aid & Scholarships

Before ruling out any college or university, do a little research on the types of scholarships and financial aid offered at the institutions you are considering. Private colleges offer a wide array of scholarships based on academics, interests, leadership and talent. College decisions should be about your fit and feel and knowing you belong, not just about cost. At Maryville College, for over 200 years, we have historically awarded generous scholarship and financial aid packages. As we continue to invest in our students, we are excited to increase our current on-campus scholarships, and announce our Scots Legacy Award. Every admitted student is eligible for the Scots Legacy Award valued at $20,000 to become part of our residential community. And that’s just the beginning of our financial scholarships! Our on-campus scholarships range from $20,000 to full-tuition! Become a Scot and join the Legacy that is Maryville College! In addition to scholarships based on outstanding academic and personal achievement, 皇冠足彩网 offers scholarships that reward leadership skills as well as excellence in music, art or theatre. If a smaller, private college seems to be the right fit, look past the sticker price and apply because there are many opportunities to reduce the cost of attendance. And, after all scholarships and financial aid are awarded, small, private colleges are often just as affordable as large, public institutions.

Don’t rule out a school you are interested in based on price alone. Go through the admission and financial aid process at each institution, and compare all of the financial aid packages offered side by side. That way, when it comes time to make a final decision, you’ll have all of the details you need to make an informed decision.

Federal Grant Aid programs, Federal Education Loan programs (such as Direct Loans, Parent PLUS Loans) and Federal Work-Study are additional sources of available federal aid. Filing a FAFSA is required to be considered for these federal programs.

Tennessee residents may qualify for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Program and/or the need-based Tennessee Student Assistance Award (TSAA).  Students must file the FAFSA in order to be considered for these awards as well.
